Bonnell Electric Becomes First eMTB OEM to Equip Bicycles with Tannus Armor liner from the Factory
Austin, TX — October 15, 2025. Bonnell Electric, a leader in high-performance electric mountain bikes and lightweight electric motorcycles, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Tannus America, becoming the first e-MTB manufacturer to factory-install Tannus Armor tire liner on production bikes.
The integration launches with the Bonnell 775 MX, which now ships with a rear Tannus Armor liner pre-installed. The result is a ride experience that delivers superior puncture resistance, enhanced rim protection, and virtually eliminates flat tires—an industry first for OEM eMTB production.

Tannus Armor is a multi-density foam liner designed to sit between the tire and tube, providing 360° protection against punctures and pinch flats. It enables lower tire pressures for improved traction without compromising rim safety—particularly vital for high-torque, high-weight electric mountain bikes like the 775 MX.

The Bonnell 775 MX with factory-installed Tannus Armor is available through Bonnell’s U.S. dealer network and direct-to-consumer channels beginning November 2025.
